UPDATE 12/21/25 ****After ruminating on this for about a week, I came the conclusion that it's not short form itself that's the problem, but the unmitigated "social" aspect and the slot machine/lottery psychology of these platforms, from both a creator and consumers perspective.*** ~~~~~~~~~~original post~~~~~~~~~~~~ The time has come. I am done making short form videos and done focusing on Instagram and social media in general.
I recently saw a clip of Jon Stewart on YouTube. He was asked by an audience member if faith had ever played a role in his life. He replied gleefully and with some light contempt that, no, faith has never played a role in his life and that he wishes he could get there but he can’t.
Thoughts of Michael Jackson and me often come into my mental purview, as they have for my entire life. I have always known that I have a special connection with him, and not just as a fan, but as a successor, as a spiritual sibling or twin flame. When I see him, I see myself, and not from the ego’s perspective, but from the depth of my soul.
I don’t want a career in music, I want to move mountains with it. I’m not playing music, I’m using it. What I want is to generate, reclaim and redistribute multinational-corporation-level energy and influence for the betterment of mankind.
Well, social media doesn't want the "CP Music Movement" so, that won't be happening, but here's where the idea started, for the record:Hello, This is a quick note to say that I am going to start featuring examples of conscious and positive pop-format music. I am doing this to starting creating a distinction between music that is for entertainment and music that is for growth of the soul or for healing/evolving the collective human mindset. There are tons of artists out there with something important and meaningful to say beyond their own ego-based agendas or self-centered stories, so I want to act as a lighthouse and beacon for those who do.
This is an expansion of a reel I posted. Lately I have been seeing more and more small and unknown artists proudly posting about removing their music from Spotify–something I myself have considered in the recent past. But the more I see this, and the more my numbers on Spotify increase, the more I wonder if these artists are doing it as a strategy, or as a virtue signal.
Today I turned off comments, again. A few days before publishing this, I found myself cursing out trolls and unsolicited advisors in the comments of my Instagram reels. That is not SOP for me, so at that moment I briefly turned off comments and reigned myself in, but damn, people just.
Someone recently (Sept 2025) asked me what my vision is. The vision doesn’t fit in a short form video. The vision doesn't fit in the comments.
Maybe the mainstream shouldn’t exist anymore. Maybe one menu of 40 songs shouldn’t be the only options. For my whole life and up until very recently, I was driven to infiltrate the mainstream music scene with my brand of positive messaging.
What about cursing/swearing? I think it's important to note that while a valid measure of its own, cursing/swearing does not influence the classifications on this list. It's clear that there is an increase of cursing along with the increase of negatively charged songs, and I believe excessive cursing causes damage of its own, (by the very nature of the word "curse",) but, cursing is not taking into account for this list. About The Rubric I am trying to illustrate the decline of positively charged energy in mainstream music, and to do that, it made sense to adopt a dualistic approach.
